South Staffordshire Narrowboat Co Ltd
Operating the Ernest Thomas II narrowboat, providing day trips for everyone, including the elderly, disability & youth groups.
Welcome Aboard
The South Staffordshire Narrowboat Company Limited operates "Ernest Thomas II" on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire and Shropshire Union Canals.
It provides day trips for a maximum of twelve passengers (including carers) elderly, disabled and youth groups mainly within the South Staffs and West Midlands area.
The boat is based adjacent to the Canalside, Castlecroft Lane, Wolverhampton WV3 8JU, where we have our own private car park. It is from here that trips start and finish.

Our Trips
Trips can be as short as two and a half hours, and up to seven hours. Be aware that the longer trips may not be suitable for the elderly.
The shorter trips are suitable for groups who have more severe medical conditions but will enjoy the stimulation of a trip along the water in the countryside.
The most popular trip takes around five hours, travelling to Dimmingsdale, returning through Compton and turning at either Aldersley Junction or Autherley Junction.
